Celebrations this weekend in west Tipperary - two county winning teams to be feted

The Galtee Rovers/St Pecaun’s team with the cup following their victory over Fethard in the FBD Insurance County U19B Championship final played at a wet Cahir on Bank Holiday Monday.

CELEBRATION DINNER
A celebration dinner and medal presentation to our successful teams in 2022 will be held in Aherlow House Hotel on this Friday, May 26. Included among those receiving medals, will be our county championship winning teams at under 17A and under 19B football. Music will be by Handipak.
Tickets are available in Brendan Healy’s, Catherine O’Connell’s, Nellie’s Bar and online via the club’s social media pages.

COUNTY LEAGUES – GALTEE ROVERS ST. PECAUN’S
In Division 3 of the County Football League on Saturday, we travelled to Rosegreen and defeated the home side by 3-12 to 1-7, in our final group game in this division. We finished fourth of the six teams in this group and failed to make the knockout stages.

GALTEE ROVERS ST. PECAUN‘S’ LADIES FOOTBALL
On Sunday, our senior ladies came up short in their fourth round league game against county champions, Fethard, on a scoreline of 3-10 to 5-8. The final round of the league will be against Moyle Rovers in Bansha, on June 5.

GALTEE ROVERS ST. PECAUNS LOTTO
There was no jackpot winner in last week’s Bansha Kilmoyler Sports Lotto draw. This week’s jackpot is €7,400.
Last week’s €20 lucky dip winners were: Darren Noonan, Patricia Healy, John Tuohy and Christine O’Sullivan. Seller’s prize €20: Galtee Rovers Ladies Football Club.
Tickets, €2 each or 3 for €5, are available locally and online via Clubforce and Galtee Rovers social media pages.

GALTEE ROVERS ST. PECAUN’S CLUB DRAW
The May monthly draw will be held on Saturday night. This is an important club fundraiser, and if you haven’t already joined, you still have a few days to do so before this weekend’s draw.
