Some prepared ground is still available for planting at Hillview allotment if anyone from the area would like to come along on Thursday evening at 7.30 and set some vegetables or flowers, you are more than welcome to attend. A great initiative with much potential and learning for the future.
Vintage Afternoon Tea
The date is Saturday, June 10. The time is 2pm. Book your ticket for the Vintage Afternoon Tea at Burncourt Community Hall.
This inviting social event is a fundraiser for the ongoing maintenance costs of the Mountain Lodge Restoration Project. As part of the afternoon, there will be a screening of the recent Retracing Project Documentary – The Social History of Glengarra Mountain Lodge.
This documentary has amazing footage of Glengarra and the stories of those who knew the Lodge in former times.
To encourage your creativity and to celebrate Summer, there will be a prize for the best “Floral Headdress or Hat”.Tickets at €20 will include your glass of Prosecco , plenty of nibbles, savoury and sweet and a great opportunity to spend the afternoon in the company of family and friends.
