Tipperary Gardaí apprehended a motorist under the influence of drugs who was moving at a frightening speed on a motorway through the county yesterday.
The Tipperary Roads Policing Unit stopped the car after it was found travelling at 159kph on the M8 at Thurles.
It was then discovered that the driver had been disqualified and then also tested positive for cannabis. They were arrested and the car was seized. Court to follow.
