The All Ireland Track & Field Championships took place in Morton Stadium Dublin last weekend and once more Tipperary athletes were to the fore with top class performances all round.
There was great joy around the Horse and Jockey as Moycarkey Coolcrue competitors Dillon Ryan and Sean Mockler both returned home after the events with gold medals around their necks, after two fantastic performances.
On Saturday July 15th, which was the first day of the event, hammer thrower Sean Mockler took to the arena.
Fresh off the back of his recent international success in Poland, the Moycarkey Coolcrue star continued his winning ways with a top class gold medal performance in the Men's Hammer throw winning with a distance of 68.36m.
An incredible feat once more from the Coldfields native to secure another title. The Tipperary athletes continued to impress on day 2 as well.
The Ryan Brothers from Two Mile Borris both competed together in the men's Long Jump in Morton Stadium with older sibling Daniel jumping seriously well with a distance of 6.80m which was enough to secure him 4th place overall.
His younger brother Dillon captured the gold medal this time around with a personal best performance of 7.45m which was met with great applause.
Huge congrats to Dillon & Daniel on their top class showing and to Sean Mockler who continues to shine on the big stage.
