Clonmel hotelier John Nallen landed a big winner at the Galway Races on Wednesday.
Minella Mate stormed to victory in the maiden race for qualified riders, causing a major shock when winning at odds of 66/1.
He beat Irish Derby fifth and odds-on favourite Up And Under by a length and a half.
The horse is owned and trained by John Nallen and was ridden by John Gleeson, son of RTE and ITV presenter Brian Gleeson.
