Live Club Jazz Jam is announced for the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival

The Jazz is always a huge hit across the Munster region

Always a firm favourite with visitors from Tipperary, this year the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival (26th-30th Oct) promises to be as good as ever.

Festival organisers have just announced a live club jazz jam - The CorkJazz AllStars presents XCLSV23 - at Cork Opera House on Saturday 28th October from 11.30pm – 2.30am.

Curated by Mas Exodus/ ChoiceCuts, who have been exploring modern contemporary jazz at the past two festivals,  the show will feature the finest local, national and international jazz artists and musicians. 

In the mix at what will be the largest lineup for the Cork Opera House ever over the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival weekend with nearly 30 musicians, vocalists and DJs.

Performers include Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, the eight-piece Chicago brass band;  Zaska,who blend of modern funk, neo-soul, and jazz, Cork-based Boolaboom, a new super-sized brass and percussion big-band playing acoustic house, jazzy techno and drum and bass belters; neo-soul artist Melina Malone; rising Irish music star Qbanaa, who merges influences, Decarteret, Yves Solo, DJ Stevie G;  and many more special guests to be added.

The show will merge jazz with house afro and up-tempo sessions merged with jazz, so bring your dancing shoes.

Tickets have just gone on sale at https://guinnesscorkjazz.com/ and are expected to be snapped up quickly, especially the limited early bird offer of  €22.50 and €30 + booking fees [on the door.

Celebrating its 45th year, the jam-packed Guinness Cork Jazz Festival will feature more than 500 musicians and 100 eclectic performances over five days of thrilling entertainment.  

There’s also a music trail in 74 pubs, theatres, clubs and hotel venues across Cork city, Douglas and Kinsale. 

And a favourite for many, Jazz will spill onto the streets of Cork City and beyond over the weekend with The Big Fringe.
