Galbally United 2 – 3 Two Mile Borris

This was a really entertaining Youths game that saw Borris prevail by the odd goal in five on Saturday afternoon last.
The two teams were making chances from early on, and the home side eventually made one count when they opened the scoring in the 15th minute thanks to Aaron Flynn scrambling home from close in after a corner kick.

But only minutes later Cian Dwyer fired back for Borris to level the game, and just before the break the same player added his and his sides second to send the visitors to the break a goal to the good.

A third goal by Conor Ryan on the hour mark looked to have sealed the points for the away side, but Galbally United did not lay down and a volleyed effort by Cian Ryan ten minutes from time brought the game back to a single goal again.

Cue a frenzied finish from the hosts, who tried just about everything to secure a point. However in the end it wasn’t enough and Borris held on to take all three.
