Goalkeeper Lauren Fitzpatrick made some outstanding saves in Ballymacarbry’s victory over Banner Ladies
Tipperary goalkeeper Lauren Fitzpatrick was one of Ballymacarbry's stars when they won the Munster Club Ladies Senior Football title for the second year in a row, beating Banner Ladies from Clare by 2-13 to 1-9 in the final in Mallow.
Inter county player Bríd McMaugh hit seven points for her side in a player of the match performance, but she was pushed all the way for the prize by goalkeeper Lauren Fitzpatrick, who made a number of fantastic saves throughout the course of the game to keep the Clare champions at bay.
Fitzpatrick, who hails from Newcastle, and her Ballymac team mates, who won the Waterford county title for an incredible 42nd year in a row this year, are now looking forward to an All-Ireland semi-final against Ulster opposition.
