There is no snow on the course at Slievenamon this Christmas but there's a great festive spirit about the place.
As we wend our weary way into the last week of the year, some (like Paul Kenny) happily hanging up extra large Christmas stockings secure in the knowledge that there will be no lumps of coal deposited by Santa Claus. Others, who may have omitted to repair their pitch marks, replace divots or rake bunkers, anxiously wondering what might be in store for them.
I am delighted to report the results of the Christmas Turkey and Ham Competition, which ensure that for those winners, at least, there will be a very festive atmosphere on December 25.
There were two divisions - Handicaps under and over 18.
Those who most definitely will find themselves on the Nice List at home are:
Division 1: Colin Condon, Seamus Mullins, Pat Slattery, Tom Leen, Andrew Franey
Division 2: Ben Hannigan, John O’Sullivan, Eamonn English.
Those are the last results which will be posted in 2023.
Nevertheless I am sure there will be lots of practice golf played over the Christmas period and for those who want to take it a little easier, they can always come out to play on our Mini Golf Course.
