Massive turnout on Easter Monday in Templemore for a Day of Remembrance

A fine crowd turned out on Monday last in Templemore for the annual 3 FARA La na bhFiann. There was a change of venue this year due to ongoing construction works on the Town Hall but still the beautiful April sunshine ensured a fine turnout.

Mass was celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church in the town before the Thomas McDonagh Pipe Band paraded from the church to the main cemetery and up to the cross.

They were followed by the 3 FARA colour party and marching body, the wreaths were laid in memory of all those who have lost their lives in war and also the deceased members of the Pierse McCan Branch of 3 FARA.
