The Tipperary U20 team to face Limerick in their first Munster Hurling Championship match of the 2024 season on Friday evening has been named by Brendan Cummins.
In total, there are 10 players named to start who were part of the 2022 Munster and All-Ireland winning panel and it seems Cummins is putting his faith in the younger players available to him for the tough away trip to Rathkeale.
Supporters will be happy the likes of Aaron O'Halloran and Darragh McCarthy have shaken off injuries to start here, while the inclusion of team captain Ben Currivan at centre-back will be interesting to see.
One interesting aspect of the starting team - in what must be a very first at this grade, or any grade for Tipperary - is there are no Mid Tipperary clubs represented with the West (6), South (5), and North (4) making up the numbers.
The game with Limerick will take place in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale this Friday, April 12th at 7 pm. See full matchday panel below.
