World Champion among guests at local Tipperary coffee festival

Birdhill Coffee Festival announces its guests for its 2024 edition.

Daniel Horbat is the first of two guests set to make an appearance at the festival.

Daniel is a well decorated member of the coffee scene, winning the World Cup Tasting Championship in 2019, the first time such an achievement has been won by an Irish representative.

In his career he accumulated experience behind the bar, consulting, teaching & mentoring before becoming the founder of Sumo Coffee Roasters.

He will host cupping & triangulation workshops and will guide festival-goers through the tasting of flavours and aromas of different coffees, including his own beans.

On Sunday, Rob Hallinan, owner of Cornershop coffee, will be the guest speaker.

Attendees can taste different coffees which he roasts in his new roadside roasting & drive thru coffee bar, in Avoca, Co. Wicklow.

Tickets for the festival can be bought here, and you can find out more information on The Old Barracks' website.
