Song that 'speaks from a place of hardship'

Tipperary and Wexford duo The Fifth Kind release second single

Evan Butler and Andrew Berry are The Fifth Kind

Evan Butler and Andrew Berry, aka The Fifth Kind, recently released their second single 'Capsized'.

Evan is from Tipperary Town while Andrew hails from Wexford.

They say that the song "speaks from a place of hardship. The difficulties that come from periods of change in life. Hitting rock bottom, yet being saved by the person you love. Thematically using boats and ships to convey the rocky waters, we can find ourselves unknowingly sinking in".

The track is backed by beautiful and simple instrumentation, a simple yet effective arrangement led by acoustic guitar, percussion and an engaging use of sound effects.

‘Capsized’ was recorded, produced and mixed by The Fifth Kind and mastered by Richard Dowling, whose credits include David Bowie and Foo Fighters.
