Sinèad Meagher captained Tipperary to All-Ireland success
The junior camogie team that won the All-Ireland final on Sunday last were captained by teek tough leader Sinèad Meagher who collected the cup on the steps of the Hogan Stand.
The Tipperary captain is a Garda based in Kildare and her colleuges were thrilled with her success. They posted online "Congratulations Tipperary and a Great Captain Garda Sinèad Meagher on Winning The All-Ireland Premier Junior Camogie Title," following it up with "An Garda Síochána Kildare are very proud of you."
The Tipperary team that secured the win were trailing at half time against Laois but with the breeze at their backs they tackled robustly and pushed on to win the final by a single point at the end of the game.
