Moyne Athletic Club make a fine presentation to Suir Haven Cancer Support Centre in Thurles

There was plenty of clapping and gratefulness last Wednesday evening as Moyne AC representatives presented a cheque to Mary Callahan and Anna Ryan of Suir Haven Cancer Support Centre for €1525 from their recent Olympic Fundraiser.

A statement from the club PRO Martin Flynn says "Firstly, I would like to congratulate the winner of the competition Enda Joyce of Duggan Veterinary Supplies Thurles. Enda kindly donated the €150 prize money back to our fundraiser for Suir Haven which was greatly appreciated.

"I would like to thank everyone that took the time to share and to promote the fundraiser. I would also like to thank each and everyone who entered the competition and to everyone that helped in making it happen.

"I would also like to thank Tigh Maighne for collecting donations and to the various businesses that advertised the fundraiser in their premises. This money raised will go to all the amazing services provided by Suir Haven Cancer Support Centre in Thurles."

Mary Callinan, Suir Haven, Thurles. Kathleen Maher, Ass. Treasurer Moyne AC, Dylan McLoughlin, Moyne AC, Organiser; Anna Ryan were amongst those on hand at the presentation.
