Cahir's Junior B hurlers claimed a South title last weekend with a win over St Patricks, and they had Tom Delaney to thank largely for the win after a virtuoso performance from the former Tipperary minor hurler.
An All-Ireland and Munster medallist and key player for the Tipperary minor hurling team in 2022, Delaney had stepped back from the game since those halcyon days under James Woodlock, but he has returned in recent games to help the Cahir Junior Bs in their efforts to claim a divisional title.
Delaney scored 3-9 in the game, and Tipperary supporters will be hoping he gets the hurling bug again, as he is still underage to play U20 for the Premier County in 2025.
He was one of the key forwards for Tipperary under James Woodlock when they won the Munster and All-Ireland double, scoring 2-19 in the games which included the famous last-gasp win over Offaly in Nowlan Park.
