Fantastic Borrisoleigh Active Social Club coffee morning in aid of Féileacáin is a huge success

A hugely successful fundraising coffee morning in aid of the Féileacáin.ie organisation took place recently in Borrisoleigh.

This is a great organisation that provides support for parents and families who suffer the loss of a baby during or shortly after pregnancy.

The event was organised by Borrisoleigh Active Social Club who do great work across the year. The amount raised from the event was a hugely impressive €1435 which will go to help people that are in need.

The organisers offered many thanks to everybody that supported this cause. It was an incredibly busy time around Borrisoleigh and on Saturday parishoners had a blessing and the official opening of the Outdoor Exercise Equipment in the Gaa grounds.

The project was a great success for the club and they hope all members and friends will get great use out of it.

This was followed by refreshments and a recording of Down Your Way with Eamon O’Dwyer of Tipp FM in the Community Centre.

Events now turn to focus towards Sunday December 1 when the Christmas Party takes place at 2pm in the Community Centre.

Names must be registered with either Eileen 087 9849848 or Lucia 086 3961211 this week.

Following that on Friday December 6 the annual Christmas shopping trip to Newbridge and Johnstown Garden Centre takes place.

Then on Friday, December 13 the Celtic Brothers concert takes place in Bru Boru Cashel while on Wednesday, December 18 the Christmas party night takes place in Finn’s Bar Borrisoleigh.
