The 2 Johnnies rouse the crowd during GAA special on the Late Late Show

The 2 Johnnies appeared on RTÉ's flagship chat show, The Late Late Show

The 2 Johnnies rouse the crowd during tonight's GAA special on the Late Late Show

The 2 Johnnies were their usual and entertaining selves after they made a big impression during the GAA special on The Late Late Show on Friday night.

The pair started the show in style with a big rendition of one of their best-known 'When I Played for the County' that got the crowd ahead of the GAA action on the show.

After presenter Patrick Kielty had a quick chat with Kerry football legend Pat Spillane, the lads made their way into the set to join Kielty and Spillane to talk GAA.

They recounted winning the South Tipperary Junior B Championship and even brought the cup along for the audience to see!

After the introductions, they spoke about their team holiday to Albufeira, with Johnny Smacks recounting his efforts to get them organised with several mishaps from the passport pictures requested of the panel!

Spillane wasn't the only former county legend as Smacks recalled his stint playing county minor football for Tipperary, with RTÉ pulling up a clip of the Roscrea man firing over a brilliant point against Cork in the old Pairc Úi Chaoimh.

He even reminisced about the first time he met his wife, admitting that she gave him no hop when he told her he played county!

As it was a GAA special, the pair spoke about the influence the GAA played in them starting their careers, as their first-ever time on stage was hosting the Cahir GAA Strictly Come Dancing - even though their club didn't want them to host it initially. It was all thanks to the GAA!

Before the interview ended, Kielty gave them a chance to win something for the audience in a quiz about Pat Spillane. Holiday World Show prizes were on offer for the audience, and vouchers to put towards a holiday.

They answered the three questions correctly and the crowd erupted with happiness!

Kielty also finished by asking them to come back again to talk about their latest instalment of the catfish saga.
