Six members of Tipperary’s Munster and All-Ireland winning U20 hurling panel have been called up to the senior squad by  boss Liam Cahill for the 2026 season.

The players are Adam Ryan (Arravale Rovers), Cathal O’Reilly (Holycross Ballycahill), Adam Daly (Knockavilla Kickhams), Joe Egan (Moycarkey Borris), Stefan Tobin (Carrick Swans) and Cathal English (Father Sheehys).

All six were key figures for Brendan Cummins’ U20 side that captured both the Munster and All-Ireland titles earlier this year, defeating Kilkenny in a one-sided decider to bring the title back to the Premier County.

Their inclusion marks another important step in Tipperary’s ongoing transition under Liam Cahill, with a clear emphasis on youth and long-term development from several successful underage teams in recent seasons.

Each of the six players impressed throughout the U20 campaign, along with several of them impressing at club level recently across the adult grades in Tipperary.

Of the six, three of the players - Stefan Tobin, Adam Ryan, and Cathal O'Reilly - have two years remaining at U20 level, while the remaining three played their last year of underage hurling in 2025.

With players like Darragh McCarthy, Sam O'Farrell, Paddy McCormack, Conor Martin, Oisin O'Donoghue and Aaron O'Halloran already a part of the senior setup this year, the inclusion of the aforementioned new faces would bring 12 of the panel below the U21 age bracket for the coming season.

Further additions to the senior panel have not yet been confirmed, but the elevation of these U20 stars will be warmly welcomed by supporters eager to see fresh talent breaking through onto the panel.

With pre-season training on the horizon after the planned team holiday in Cape Town, the new faces will look to make their mark as Tipperary begin preparations for the 2026 National Hurling League and Munster Championship campaigns.
