Tipperary triumphed over Galway in the National Hurling League on Saturday night, starting their league campaign on the perfect note, a match that also marked the exciting senior debut of Cathal O'Reilly.
Jake Morris claimed the Man of the Match title, yet it was O'Reilly's debut that manager Liam Cahill chose to spotlight.
O'Reilly, a standout from Holycross Ballycahill, has already built a reputation for dazzling performances in youth competitions.
O'Reilly led the Tipperary minor team to an All-Ireland win in 2024 and has shown the same skill since joining the senior team.
He's block that stopped Galway youngster Aaron Niland from scoring what looked like a certain goal was a major highlight of the game.

After the match, Cahill discussed O'Reilly's performance with Marty Morrisey on RTÉ.
"Cathal is no stranger to us all in Tipperary, coming up through at U20 and minor grade,” Cahill stated.
"You know, probably an early baptism for him tonight but he did really well.
“Definitely one for the future. Delighted to get him into proper senior hurling action tonight."
