Nenagh rugby prospect Fionn O’Meara has earned a place in the Ireland Under 20 Six Nations training camp, marking another significant step in the young athlete’s development.
O’Meara, who is a member of Nenagh Ormond RFC, has been included in the national squad for the February 2026 international window following a series of strong performances at club and provincial level.
The call up continues a steady progression through the Irish rugby pathway for the Nenagh native.
A former student of St Joseph’s CBS Nenagh, O’Meara first came to national attention through his performances in the Munster underage system.
He previously lined out for Munster at both Under 18 and Under 19 levels and was part of the Ireland Under 18 set up during his early representative career.
In recent seasons, O’Meara has also gained senior experience with Nenagh Ormond in the All Ireland League. His appearances in the AIL have provided him with valuable exposure to adult rugby and have helped establish him as one of the club’s emerging talents.
His sporting achievements are not confined to rugby. O’Meara has also represented Ireland internationally in basketball, earning four caps.
