The Tipperary Town Chamber of Commerce has struggled to hold an Annual General Meeting or to select a new committee. Since the last AGM in 2020, only three of the original seven members remain active.

Last July, a remaining committee member called a special meeting. At the meeting, it was decided that two outside people would help finish reports and accounts, aiming to hold an AGM in August 2025. But the AGM did not happen. The current secretary and a director of the Tipperary Town Chamber posted on social media, saying that unnamed people are holding up the AGM by not sharing what they called 'correct information'. The remaining committee members said they will share a report on their work when they can. They also said they will not approve any documents they think are wrong or do not match the facts.

With the chamber inactive, it is uncertain if local businesses have a voice in the Tipperary Town Revitalisation Task Force. The absence of a business forum leaves pressing issues like water outages, parking rules, and the delayed N24 bypass project without a champion.

A fresh force, the Tipperary Business Alliance, has emerged under the leadership of four local women. Their mission is to energise the town by organising festive events throughout the year, drawing crowds and lifting community spirit.

Three of the four leaders own businesses in Tipperary town.
