Toomevara GAA made a piece of history for itself last night as they elected their first ever female Chairperson for the coming year.
Denise Hayes will take over from long time club servant and stalwart Donie Shanahan, who gave his full support and well wishes to the newly elected chairperson.
Club legends of past and present were in attendance at the AGM, and Hayes wished Mr. Shanahan all the best for the future and acknowledged his years of service, at club, county, and provincial level.
