The fixture has been confirmed for this year’s AIB All-Ireland senior club semi-final. Antrim champions Loughgiel Shamrocks defeated Slaughtneil in Saturday’s Ulster final (after six previous final defeats) on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-11.
Drom & Inch will now face the newly crowned Ulster champions on Saturday 10th December at 1pm in Ashbourne GAA, Co Meath.
The winners will have a quick turnaround to an All-Ireland final on Saturday 17th December in Croke Park against either Sarsfields of Galway or Dublin champions St Vincent’s.
St Vincent’s recorded a brilliant win over Ouart-the-Ballagh in the weekend’s Leinster final on a final scoreline of 1-9 to 0-11.
Drom & Inch booked their place in the All-Ireland series with a brilliant Munster final victory over Scarriff Ogonnelloe of Clare, avenging their loss 12 months previous at the same stage to the same opposition.
The mid Tipperary team now have a real opportunity of booking a date in an All-Ireland final next month in the promised land of Croke Park.
