St Mary's Newport had a lot to be proud of after the Tipperary County cross country competition

Junior girls

Congratulations to all our students who took part in the Tipperary County Cross Country last week. St Marys won the overall mixed school.

Our minor boy's team placed first, with Oisin Kennedy second, Jack Nolan third, Cillian Holmes fourth and Cormac Ryan sixth.

The Junior Boys team placed second, with Peter Ashe seventh, Scott Ryan eighth, Conor Kiely 17th and Josh Devlin 20th.

Junior Girls placed third, with Leah Berry second, Lauren Gaffney 20th and Leah Molloy 24th.

Overall we had 50 runners compete in highly competitive races. Also, a big thank you to our coaches on the day, Dara Kennedy, who ran in the Senior race, and Maeve Gaffrey.
