Tipperary Munster championship games to be shown exclusively on GAA Go streaming service

Tipperary Munster championship games to be shown exclusively on GAA Go streaming service

Tipperary hurling supporters will have to pay for a streaming subscription to see the first two games in the 2023 Munster Senior Hurling Championship, as the games will not be shown live on mainstream television.

Following the ending of the GAA’s deal with Sky Sports, the GAA have expanded their GAAGO.ie service which will now live stream 38 exclusive Championship matches in 2023, which includes two Tipperary games and possibly one more.

Tipperary’s first game in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship on Sunday 23rd April in Ennis at 4.00pm will be on GAAgo.ie, as will their second game against Cork on Saturday, 5th May at 7.00pm at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

It is not yet known whether the other two round robin groups against Limerick and Waterford will be shown on live television.

The Tipperary footballers could also be on the GAAgo.ie platform as should they beat Waterford in their Munster quarter-final, the semi-final clash with All-Ireland champions Kerry is marked for streaming coverage on Saturday 22nd April.

GAAGO unveiled its exclusive 2023 GAA Championship broadcast schedule, presentation team and pricing in Croke Park on Thursday.

After eight years of serving the GAA's international fan base, next year’s entry into the domestic Irish market represents a huge growth step for the online streaming platform.

Fans will access 38 live or on-demand matches in HD quality for a special launch price of just €59 up until December 31st, before it moves to €79. Individual pay-per-game matches will be available for €12, a ‘3-for-2’ bundle deal will cost €24 and GAA members will receive 10% off any full price (€79) subscription.

GAA clubs will be able to avail of a group pass for €150 and care-giving locations will watch for free using complimentary login codes distributed by County PRO’s.

The subscription service will provide live action from every Provincial Championship and the football All-Ireland series to viewers in Ireland and around the world for eighteen match days across eleven weekends.

Within the 38-game schedule twenty-two Sam Maguire cup, nine Liam MacCarthy cup and seven Tailteann Cup matches will be streamed. Some weekends will see matches shown on both Saturday and Sunday with simultaneous live feeds occurring on certain dates.
