Motorists have been warned to travel with extreme caution following reports of a number of cars losing control on icy roads in Tipperary and East Limerick.

A number of incidents have been reported to gardai in the Bruff District, including one incident in which a car left the road and skidded into the ditch near Dromkeen. A spokesperson at Bruff Garda Station told the Tipperary Star that while no one has been seriously injured in the incidents, all motorists travelling today are urged to do so with 'extreme caution' and only if necessary.

Conditions remain extremely poor around Thurles, Nenagh and Clonmel with many routes across the county reportedly impassable.
