Hydrating in the sunny weather might have caused one driver to get themselves in hot water at the weekend.
Cahir Roads Policing Unit shared this update on social media at the weekend.
The Unit was conducting a MIT checkpoint at Barnora, Cahir on Sunday. A vehicle was stopped and the driver failed the roadside breath test.
According to the gardaí the driver was "arrested & result of evidenzer procedure at station was 122/100. Charged to court.
"Driver enjoyed too many Sunday afternoon drinkies!"
