Dart services suspended due to 'tragic incident' while lorry bridge strike causes train delays

UPDATE: Disruption continuing to train services following tragic incident on the line this morning

Dart services remain suspended this morning due to a tragic incident on the line at Clongriffin in Dublin.

Northern commuter services are operating from and to Malahide while services continue to operate between Howth Junction and Howth.

The 6:50am Belfast/Connolly service was due to terminate in Drogheda this morning due to the tragic incident.

Irish Rail has confirmed that Dublin Bus will honour rail tickets in the affected area. 

There has also been travel disruptions for national commuters after a lorry struck a bridge in Portlaoise earlier on Wednesday morning. 

Services resumed shortly after 9am this morning with Irish Rail saying some services are running approximately 25 minutes behind schedule. 

The delays to the train services through Portlaoise were confirmed shortly after 8am this morning.
