Two women treated for serious injuries after dog attack

Two women are being treated for serious injuries after a dog attack in Co Waterford.

Gardai attended the incident which occurred at a residential property at St Johns Park, on Friday afternoon at around 1pm.

Emergency Services were at the scene and took two women, one aged in her 30s and another in her late teens, to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of serious injuries.

In a statement, Gardai said the dog was seized by the Waterford City and County Council Dog Warden and investigations are ongoing.
