Freezing weather expected to continue into next week as cold persists nationwide

Roads continue to be hazardous this morning (December 3) as very cold weather persists nationwide. 

According to Met Éireann, the Low Temperatures/Ice warning issued on Friday evening continues to be in place for most of today, with slippery conditions underfoot and icy roads expected. 

It's believed the current cold spell will last until Tuesday night (December 5). 

A nationwide yellow fog warning is also in place as dense fog and some patches of freezing fog develop, exacerbating aready hazardous conditions.

Warnings will be monitored and reviewed/extended if necessary.
