The 2 Johnnies played to a sold-out crowd in Dublin's 3Arena on Saturday night, but things went wrong live on stage when one half of the comedic duo, Johnny 'Smacks' McMahon, was injured when a stunt went awry.
The well-known Tipperary podcasters, broadcasters, comedians and musicians were playing to over 13,000 people at the Dublin venue when their Garth Brooks-esque guitar smash went wrong, leaving Smacks with a hand injury.
Their annual Christmas Party which was filled with music, craic and laughter otherwise went down without a hitch, until the latter stages of the three-hour-long show when Roscrea native Smacks broke into a Garth Brooks tribute.
As a finale to the tribute, Johnny B and Smacks can be seen in the video below squaring up to smash their guitars when the stunt went sideways.

Taking to their Facebook page following the gig, Johnny B gave an update to fans.
"He’s ok! Smashed guitars and broken bones. What's a 2 Johnnies gig without a few broken hurleys," he said.
"Thanks a million to everyone who came tonight, unbelievable scenes."
Since then, Johnny Smacks has provided an update of his own. Posting to Instagram, Smacks said: "Thanks so much to all 13,000 of ye legends who were unreal sat night, it was magic.
"Didn’t end the way I expected. It was like winning an All Ireland and missing the celebrations," he joked.
"Operation went well on the finger and I’m on the mend.
"Love to ye all and thanks so much for all the messages," he signed off the post accompanying a series of shots from the gig.
