Pedestrian in his 60s hospitalised with serious injuries following Cork car collision

Emergency services attended the scene on Upper Cork Hill, Youghal yesterday (February 1) evening. 

 

A pedestrian aged in his 60s has been taken to hospital for serious injuries following a collision with a car in Co Cork. 

According to Gardaí, emergency services attended the scene on Upper Cork Hill, Youghal yesterday (February 1) at approximately 6.20pm. 

The injured man was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment, however no other injuries have been reported at this time. 

The road is currently closed pending a technical examination and local diversions are in place. 

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. 

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 6pm and 6.30pm, are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
