Dog 'destroyed' as investigations continue into serious attack on young boy in Kerry

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident in Dingle over the long weekend

A young boy in Co Kerry has received serious injuries after a dog attack over the long weekend.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident in Dingle, Co Kerry at approximately 7:30pm on Friday, March 15, 2024.

The boy was brought to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of serious, but non-life threatening injuries sustained as a result of this incident.

A garda spokesperson said: "The dog has since been destroyed.

Investigations are ongoing."
