Gardaí arrested two drivers who tested positive for cocaine at a checkpoint in co. Kildare on Monday.
At the checkpoint in Naas late yesterday afternoon, Gardaí tested a 113 drivers for intoxicated driving. They also seized four vehicles - three for having no insurance and one as they were an unaccompanied learner.
Colleagues from the Turkish Police Foreign Relations and the World Health Organisation joined Assistant Commissioner Hillman and Kildare Gardaí at this checkpoint. The international group were invited by Gardaí to gain a first hand insight into how they detect and process road traffic offences here in Ireland.
