16 people are expected to appear before Dublin District Courts this morning following a major garda operation on Dublin.
The "comprehensive policing operation" was conducted as part of "Operation Thor" in North Dublin over recent weeks, where a number of arrests were made by Gardaí in Coolock and Raheny.
"These operations specifically targeted individuals living in communities in North Dublin, who are engaging in targeted property crime and profiting from criminal activities," a Garda spokesperson said.
13 men and three women, aged from 14 to 55 years old, have been charged with a grand total of 62 offences.
The offences include burglary, theft, criminal damage, robbery and unauthorised taking of a vehicle.
All 16 will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Cloverhill District Court, Swords and Balbriggan District Court and Dublin Children’s Court today.
"This is an active and ongoing operation," a Garda spokesperson said.
