Over €2.5 million worth of drugs seized following second large seizure in Wexford

This is the second large seizure of narcotics in Wexford this week. On Thursday 10 October, Gardaí seized around 30kgs of cocaine worth over €2.1 million in Rosslare.

Gardaí have said that a man has been arrested following a large seizure of drugs worth over €2.5 million at Rosslare Europort in Wexford. 

On Friday morning, 11 October, Revenue Officers seized approximately 36kgs of suspected cocaine with an estimated value of over €2.5 million when a truck which had disembarked from a ferry from Dunkirk, France was stopped and searched.

A man in his 50s has been arrested and is currently detained at a garda station in Wexford under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. 

Investigations are ongoing.
