Over €2.5 million worth of drugs seized following second large seizure in Wexford
Gardaí have said that a man has been arrested following a large seizure of drugs worth over €2.5 million at Rosslare Europort in Wexford.
On Friday morning, 11 October, Revenue Officers seized approximately 36kgs of suspected cocaine with an estimated value of over €2.5 million when a truck which had disembarked from a ferry from Dunkirk, France was stopped and searched.
A man in his 50s has been arrested and is currently detained at a garda station in Wexford under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
