RIP: Sad garda update as search for missing man is stood down after body found
A search and public appeal to find a man missing from Dublin has been stood down amid a sad update from gardaí.
67-year-old Stephen Molloy had been reported missing from his home in Raheny, Co Dublin, since September 23 and had been the subject of two Garda appeals amid concern for his welfare.
In a sad update on Monday, gardaí confirmed an end to the public appeal.

"Following the discovery of a man's body on Wednesday, 9th October 2024 in Greystones, Co.Wicklow, the missing person appeal in respect of Stephen Molloy, 67 years, has been stood down.
"We would like to thank the public and media for their assistance," they added.
