Former Manchester United player Roy Keane was involved in an unsavoury incident with an Ipswich Town fan during the clash between the two teams on Sunday.

New Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim was taking charge of his first game as manager as Kieran McKenna's Ipswich Town welcomed them to Portman Road.

Ireland legend Keane was on punditry duty with Sky Sports when he responded to a fan in the stands. A number of Ipswich fans appeared to direct insults at Keane before he approached one in particular.

Keane managed Ipswich Town from 2009 to 2011 during his brief spell on the sidelines before making the move to punditry. He is now a regular on Sky Sports and ITV during big game coverage.

It appears someone shouted at Keane: "I hope you're a better pundit that a manager," while another can be heard in a video circulating on social media saying, "f**k you, Keane."

Roy can be seen in the video speaking directly to one fan and saying: "Wait in the carpark and we'll discuss it." The former United captain was animated at the fan volleyed back at him before saying "wait in the carpark" one further time before going back to the Sky Sports set-up.
