The Food Safety Authority of Ireland have issued a recall for a breakfast cereal favourite stocked in Irish shops

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland have issued a recall over a breakfast cereal classic that is stocked in supermarkets and grocery stores all across Ireland.

The product in question is Frosted Shreddies made by Nestle.

The food recall was made on Wednesday the 28th of February 2025.

The following are the affected batch numbers of the products in questions:

Message from the FSAI reads as follows:

The below batches of Nestlé Frosted Shreddies products are being recalled due to the possible presence of hard lumps of sugar. Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores.

The notice to consumers reads:

Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches.  

Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batches from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale.  

Wholesalers/distributors are requested to contact their affected customers and recall the implicated batches and provide a point-of-sale recall notice to their retail customers.
