Gardaí have issued a renewed appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Barna, County Galway which killed a young man in his 20s on Sunday, 9 March. 

Three cars were involved in the crash and it was the driver of one of these cars that was killed. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

In over a week since the fatal collision occurred, An Garda Síochána have said that they are eager to speak with the driver of a car that stopped at the scene of the crash at New Village in Barna at around 11.17pm for a number of minutes. 

Gardaí believe that the driver may have information which could help assist them in their investigation into the collision.

In addition to this specific driver, they have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward. 

They have asked that any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 10.45pm and 11.30pm on Sunday, 9 March to please make the footage available to gardaí.
