Gardaí are reminding motorists across Ireland that they could be subject to a €60 Fixed Charge Notice for displaying non-conforming registration plates.

An Garda Síochána have said for each non-regulation, missing, or obscured plate a €60 Fixed Charge Notice can be issued per plate.
All registration plates must meet Irish format and visibility standards.
Earlier this week, the Naas Roads Policing Unit stopped a vehicle which was displaying non-conforming registration plates.

An Garda Síochana can now issue fixed charge notices of €60 per plate for non-compliant license plates, following an upgrade to the Garda Mobility App.
