Sad news as gardaí confirm discovery of body in search for man missing three weeks

Gardaí have stood down a search for a man reported missing in Cork in March.

Thabo Mhlanga (33) was reported missing from Cork city centre on March 12, 2026. Gardaí and Thabo’s family expressed concern for his wellbeing at the time.

In an update on Friday, April 10, gardaí said: "Following the discovery of a body, the missing person appeal in respect of Thabo Mhlanga (33), who was reported missing from Cork city centre since the 12th of March 2026 has been stood down.

"Gardaí would like to thank the media for their assistance."
