The death of highly-respected solicitor Richard Grogan has prompted a flood of tributes on social media.
His TikTok videos explaining items of law were extremely popular and earned him a significant social media following.
A statement issued on behalf of his family read: "We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who supported and engaged with Richard on his social media. He got great enjoyment from these interactions.
"It was a genuine passion of his to educate while having fun, in a way only he could.
"He will be sorely missed by all" the statement added.
Fittingly, it finished with his well-known catchphrase: "That's the law, and that's a fact".
Richard was very generous with his time and his expertise and will be sorely missed. Sincere condolences to all his family, friends and colleagues.

I've spent so much time watching Richard's videos on areas of employment law that have absolutely no relevance to me or my work because he was so interesting. Sad news. That's the law and that's a fact.

There was a gap on the information highway about workers legal rights. Richard filled that Gap on Social Media. He will be sadly missed and that is a fact.

RIP Richard. What a legend. Got many of us through lockdown with his wit and his legal facts. Helped so many people know their rights. And scared a few dodgy employers
