CareyGlass, the Nenagh-based Glass Processing business, has this week announced that they have entered into a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with Erova Energy, securing the supply of 40% of their electricity requirements from Curraghgraiguewindfarm which is located approximately 10 miles from their plant in Nenagh, county Tipperary.
Speaking on the announcement Sinead Gleeson, CareyGlass, said: “We are dedicated to implementing innovative solutions that not only improve our operational efficiency but also create a positive impact on the local community and economy. Our initiatives reflect a deep-rooted belief that responsible manufacturing not only benefits the environment but also strengthens our brand reputation. By entering our second CPPA for renewable energy, we are ensuring that we are playing our part to reduce our carbon footprint and promote a cleaner, greener future.
