Aoife McCormack was joined by Robyn Byrne, Katie Sheldon and Denise Cassidy on Ireland's World Cup-winning team
As well as the success of Clonmel's Aidan O'Hara in the Open Youth Pairs at the World Darts Federation World Cup in South Korea, Tipperary has been also celebrating another world champion for the past week in Aoife McCormack, who was on the Irish team that retained their World Darts Federation World Cup title.
Aoife, from Ballingarry, teamed up with Robyn Byrne, Katie Sheldon and Denise Cassidy to defeat Australia at the Kintex Hall in Seoul to claim Ireland's second gold medal of the tournament, following the success of Tipperary's Aidan O'Hara and Carlow's Jack Courtney in the Open Youth Pairs.
All four players won games in their 9-1 win, with captain Byrne hitting a maximum and taking out double 12 in the last leg to seal the victory.

Earlier in the week, Ireland had topped a group containing New Zealand, Turkey and Lithuania before beating Wales, Netherlands and Philippines in the knockout stages.

Aoife McCormack was also on the Republic of Ireland women’s team that won the World Darts Federation World Cup in Denmark in 2023.
On that occasion she threw the last dart for the winning double that saw Ireland claim a 9-7 win in the final against Wales.
