The Republic of Ireland could be without skipper Seamus Coleman for Monday night's opening Euro 2024 qualifier against France at the Aviva Stadium.
Coleman, who picked up a thigh strain, was unavailable for the Boys in Greens' friendly fixture against Latvia on Wednesday and manager Stephen Kenny said he didn't have "100% clarity" on Seamus' availability for Ireland's first competitive outing of 2023.
The 34-year-old has been in fine form for Sean Dyche's Everton side recently and the experienced defender would've been an expected starter on Monday.
The Irish backline will have their work cut out against a very strong French attack which includes PSG star Kylian Mbappé.
Kick-off is at 7.45pm in Dublin.
