Clonmel Town will play their football in Division 1 of the TSDL next season
Clonmel Town, one of the most prominent soccer clubs in the county, have been relegated from the Premier League of the Tipperary Southern and District League (TSDL).
Their 3-0 home defeat by Cahir Park confirmed the relegation for Town, who famously won the FAI Junior Cup in 1994, as well as the Munster Junior Cup on three occasions.
Cahir Park wasted no time asserting their dominance in the game in Clonmel, taking the lead inside the opening minute following a defensive error, which Ryan St John punished clinically.
Clonmel Town attempted to respond and showed moments of promise, particularly from set-pieces, but struggled to break down a well-organised Cahir defence, led superbly by Chris Higgins.

Cahir effectively ended the game as a contest early in the second half, with Adam Hennessy scoring twice in quick succession — both excellent finishes that highlighted his quality in front of goal.
Town continued to battle but were unable to find a breakthrough.
