Tipperary students awarded for their outstanding achievements
Tipperary ETB student award recipients with county senior hurler Dan McCormack and the Liam McCarthy Cup.

An awards ceremony acknowledging the efforts of students, teachers, schools and centres in achieving continuous improvements and excellence in academic studies and personal development was held at Horse and Jockey Hotel, Thurles, recently. Tipperary Education and Training Board's (ETB) annual event was opened by Fionuala McGeever, chief executive of Tipperary ETB, who welcomed those in attendance, including chairperson Cllr. John Hogan, guest speaker and Tipperary senior hurler Dan McCormack, ETB committee members, staff from the schools, Youthreach managers, and award recipients with their families and friends. The awards were presented to nominees from local schools including Coláiste Chluain Meala, Coláiste Dun Iascaigh, Comeragh College in Carrick-on- Suir, and St. Ailbe’s in Tipperary Town in the following categories: Best Leaving Certificate, Best Leaving Certificate Applied, Best Personal Achievement, and Best Sporting Achievement. Fionuala McGeever closed the ceremony by thanking all those who attended the momentous occasion, congratulating the students and wishing them well for the future.
