The Eolas Money Team - Back Row L-R: Brendan Reilly & Jim Stapleton. Front Row L-R: Julie Kennedy Fogarty, Emma Costello, Leah Maguire
In the realm of financial planning, where foresight and strategy are paramount, Eolas Money stands out as a beacon of expertise in Co. Tipperary.
As the Clonmel-based financial planning firm marks its 14th birthday this week, “it's not just a celebration of years passed; it's a reflection on a journey marked by dedication, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to empowering clients on their financial journeys,” stated co-founder Brendan Reilly.
Founded in November 2009 by Brendan and Jim Stapleton, Eolas Money set out to redefine the relationship individuals and businesses have with their finances. From the outset, the company recognized the significance of trust in financial planning.
As Jim mentioned, “trust is not something that is given; it is earned through transparency, reliability, and the consistent delivery of financial solutions that align with our client's goals”. Eolas Money has been steadfast in building this trust, creating lasting relationships that form the bedrock of its success.
Eolas Money has now grown to consist of a dedicated team of Certified Financial Planners (CFP), the globally recognised credential representing the highest standards in financial planning, head of operations, client administration and an apprentice financial advisor.
As Eolas Money celebrates its 14th birthday, it's not just a time for reflection but also a moment to acknowledge milestones and achievements. From expanding its individual financial planning services to include taxation services, dedicated financial planning for business owners and employer benefits such as company pensions and risk schemes, the firm's journey has been one of continuous growth and recognition.
Jim mentioned that “one of the key recognitions for the firm was Brendan’s election as Chairman of the Board of Financial Planners of Ireland between 2020-2022, an organisation for CFP® professionals dedicated to promoting the Financial Planning profession in Ireland, sharing best practice and representing the views of their members. Brendan remains a Board member”.
The financial landscape has undergone significant transformations over the past decade, and Eolas Money has been a pioneer in embracing these changes. From the early integration of digital processes to the development of cutting-edge financial planning technologies, the firm has consistently harnessed technology to better serve its clients. This commitment to innovation ensures that Eolas Money's clients have access to the latest tools and strategies to navigate the complexities of their financial world.
Tailored Solutions for Diverse Range of Clients
Financial planning is not a one-size-fits-all endeavour, and Eolas Money understands this implicitly. Over the years, the firm has developed a range of services that cater to the diverse needs of its clientele. Whether it's retirement planning, investment strategies, or personal protection planning, Eolas Money has been a trusted advisor, providing personalized solutions that align with individual financial goals.
Jim stated: “We are very proud that to date, over €1.5m has been paid to our clients on the diagnosis of serious illnesses such as cancers & cardiac related issues, approximately €750,000 paid on the death of clients and approximately €175,000 per annum is currently paid to our clients in the form of income protection due to their inability to work because of illness or disability.
“Supporting our clients in their times of need is something that is very important to us,” Jim said.
Client-Centric Approach
Head of Operations Julie Kennedy Fogarty stated: “The success of Eolas Money is intrinsically tied to its client-centric philosophy. Instead of a transactional approach, the firm prefers to foster long-term relationships with clients, understanding that financial planning is an ongoing journey. Regular reviews, open communication, and a commitment to being accessible to clients have been the cornerstones of Eolas Money's client-centric approach.”
Educational Initiatives for Financial Literacy: Financial literacy is at the heart of Eolas Money's mission. Recognizing that an informed client is an empowered client, the firm works directly with employers and wellbeing partners to deliver financial wellbeing initiatives to help improve the financial wellbeing of employees nationwide.
Looking ahead
A Future of Financial Empowerment: Jim Stapleton stated that “our birthday is not just a celebration of the past; it's a declaration of our commitment to a future where the financial wellbeing of our clients remains at the forefront of the work we do”. As the firm enters its 15th year, “we will continue to innovate, educate, and guide our clients and reinforce our position as a trusted partner in the ever-evolving landscape of financial planning”.
